# Keyboard shortcuts

> The keyboard shortcuts in DemoVexa and how to use the command palette to get anywhere fast.

DemoVexa has a few keyboard shortcuts and a command palette that reaches almost everything in the app.

## Shortcuts

On a Mac, use <kbd>⌘</kbd>. On Windows and Linux, use <kbd>Ctrl</kbd>.

| <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>K</kbd> | Open the command palette |
| <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>N</kbd> | New project |
| <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>,</kbd> | Open Settings |
| <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>1</kbd> | Go to Projects |
| <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>2</kbd> | Go to Ideas |
| <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>3</kbd> | Go to Usage |
| <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>B</kbd> | Show or hide the sidebar |

> DemoVexa runs in your browser, and some browsers keep <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>N</kbd> for a new window. If it opens a browser window instead, click **New project** in the sidebar or use the command palette.

## Command palette

Press <kbd>⌘</kbd> <kbd>K</kbd> (on Windows/Linux <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>K</kbd>), or click **Commands** in the sidebar. Start typing to filter, then press <kbd>Enter</kbd> to run the highlighted item.

The palette has:

| Group | What's in it |
|---|---|
| Actions | **New project**, **Import a project (.demovexa)**, **New workspace**, switch between light and dark, show or hide the sidebar |
| Go to | The main pages of the app |
| Projects | Every project in the workspace, to open it directly |
| Switch workspace | Every workspace |
| Settings tabs | Every tab of **Settings** and **Workspace settings** |

> The palette is the quickest way to reach a settings tab. Type its name, such as "ElevenLabs" or "Brand", and press <kbd>Enter</kbd>.
