DemoVexa vs PushPlay
DemoVexa publishes this page. We compare from each product's own public pages and link every claim.
Last checked:
PushPlay is for teams on GitHub who want a video to appear by itself when a pull request merges, once it opens for signups. DemoVexa is for teams who keep their code on their own computer, want their real screens rebuilt and narrated in 85 languages, and are happy to start each video themselves. If a merge-triggered video is the point, PushPlay's plan is the closer fit.
PushPlay status: Not open for signups yet (as of 17 October 2026): the PushPlay home page says it is launching soon.
What each tool does
DemoVexa
DemoVexa is a desktop app and CLI. You point a workspace at a code folder, describe the video in a line, and Claude writes the brief and script, ElevenLabs voices it, and your screens are rebuilt and animated. You get finished MP4s with covers, posts and a blog draft.
PushPlay
PushPlay connects to a GitHub repository and makes a narrated video from merged pull requests, so a demo of what shipped can appear without anyone recording a screen. Its site describes a shareable link per video and plans that generate on merge.
How they get your UI
DemoVexa
Claude reads the code and docs, then writes React components that recreate the screens with your brand kit applied, and Remotion animates them. Sample data replaces real customer data. Any stack works, because the screens are rebuilt rather than run.
PushPlay
For React apps PushPlay says it extracts and renders your real components in its video engine, with styling preserved. For other stacks it says AI interprets the code and recreates the UI.
Workflow
DemoVexa
Start a video from an idea, a document or a link; review the brief and script; pick a voice; build; export. Batches can run overnight. There is no automatic trigger when code changes: you rebuild when you want a new version.
PushPlay
Link a repository; videos are generated on push or merge, or you pick the moment. Regenerating a scene costs no credits according to its pricing page.
Formats and languages
DemoVexa
1080p MP4 in 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1, each with its own layout rather than a crop, plus green-screen and transparent exports. Scripts and voiceovers in 85 languages.
PushPlay
MP4 at 720p (Free) or 1080p (paid), 60 to 90 seconds long. Aspect ratios and narration languages are not stated.
Where your code goes
DemoVexa
Your code folder stays on your computer. The parts Claude needs go to Anthropic through your own account, and script text goes to ElevenLabs through your own key if you use an ElevenLabs voice. Keys live in your operating system's keychain.
PushPlay
PushPlay reads the repository through read-only GitHub access on its own service. Its site does not state where processing happens or which AI providers it uses.
Pricing model
DemoVexa
Solo $29, Team $79 and Agency $199 a month, measured in videos and renders per month, with a 14-day free trial and no card. Claude and ElevenLabs are billed separately by those companies.
PushPlay
Announced prices, not yet available: Starter $29, Pro $79 and Team $199 a month, measured in credits, with AI included. A free plan with 4 starting credits and a watermark.
Which to choose
- PushPlay when your product lives in GitHub, you want a video each time a pull request merges, and you can wait for it to open for signups.
- DemoVexa when your code is a folder on your computer (any language), you want your real screens rebuilt in your brand, and you need vertical and square versions and other languages.
- DemoVexa when you make videos for several products or clients and need workspaces, batches and marketing copy with each video.
- Either, later when you only need one short landscape clip per release and the trigger matters more than the formats; compare again once PushPlay is live.
Where DemoVexa is weaker
- No trigger on push, merge or release: you start each video or batch yourself.
- No hosted share link: you get files to upload or send.
- Builds are not signed or notarized yet, so macOS and Windows ask for an extra step on first open.
- You need your own Claude account or API key, and ElevenLabs for AI voices, paid separately.
FAQ
Does DemoVexa need GitHub?
No. Clone your repository to your computer and point a DemoVexa workspace at the local code folder. DemoVexa does not take a GitHub URL and does not connect to GitHub.
Which stacks work with DemoVexa?
Any language or framework: the screens are rebuilt from the code and docs as React components rather than run, so the stack of your app does not limit it. Without code, a workspace can start from your website and documents.
Can DemoVexa make vertical video?
Yes. Every video renders in 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1 at 1080p, each laid out for its frame rather than cropped.
Where does my code get processed?
On your computer, by the DemoVexa app. The relevant parts of the code and docs go to Claude through your own Anthropic account, and the script text goes to ElevenLabs through your own key if you use an ElevenLabs voice. The code folder is never uploaded to DemoVexa.
Is PushPlay available today?
