Assets

Keep each workspace's screenshots, images, clips and files in one library, sorted in folders, and let Claude use the pictures in your videos.

Assets is a file library for each workspace: product screenshots, UI mockups, illustrations, photos, clips and any other files you want at hand. Claude reads the descriptions of your images and uses one when a scene calls for a real picture, instead of inventing it.

Open it from Assets in the sidebar, under Projects, or press ⌘ 3 (on Windows/Linux Ctrl 3).

#Add files

  • Click Upload, or drop files anywhere on the page.
  • Any file type works. Images and clips get a preview; other files are listed with their name and size.
  • Files go into the folder you have open, or the top level.

#Folders

  • Click New folder to make one, inside the folder you have open.
  • Drag files onto a folder to move them, or select them and choose Move to….
  • Rename or delete a folder from its menu. Deleting a folder deletes what's inside it.

#Find and sort

  • Search files… looks through the whole library, every folder included.
  • Sort by name, by newest or by largest first.
  • Switch between a grid of previews and a list with each file's type, source and date.

#Open a file

Click a file to see it large with its details: size, type, where it came from and when it was added. From there you can download, rename or delete it.

For an image, write what it shows in a sentence, for example "The invoices list with three overdue invoices". Claude reads this when it picks a picture for a scene, so a clear description gets the right image in the right place.

#Select several files

Hover a file and tick its box, or use Select all. Then move or delete the selected files in one go.

#The Brand folder

The Brand folder at the top shows the workspace's logos, mark and favicons from Brand and design. It always matches that page. You can open and download the files here, but to change them, use the Brand tab in Workspace settings.

#Pictures from a brand import

When you import the brand from your website or from your app's code, DemoVexa also collects the other pictures it finds there: product screenshots, UI mockups, hero illustrations and photos. Claude keeps the ones worth reusing and leaves out logos of other companies, icons, badges and stock decoration. They are saved in a folder named Imported from the website or Imported from the code.

Importing again adds only what's new, so files you have moved, renamed or described stay as you left them.

#How videos use your assets

Every animated video's build gets the list of the workspace's images, with their folder, size and description. When a scene needs a real picture, such as a screenshot of a page or a product photo, the build agent uses one of them instead of drawing a placeholder. Screens of your app are still rebuilt from the code; assets are for pictures the code doesn't contain.

#Sharing and export

  • Teams: in a shared workspace, assets sync to your teammates like projects do. See Teams.
  • Export and import: assets travel with the workspace in a .demovexa export and come back on import. See Export and import.
